About

Amy Wallace is a lawyer* who lives in Minneapolis with the best of all possible spouses, a very stupid but very loving dog, and a very bitchy but very adorable cat. When she’s not doing fancy lawyer stuff, she is either reading, blogging, quilting, or sitting on her ass with a cocktail in hand, because dammit, sometimes a body just wants to sit.

Hey there.

Hey there.

*I’m not really comfortable with the whole idea of defining oneself by one’s job, (say, an accountant), or marital status (wife), or parenthood status (mother). Aside from the sad fact that societal pressures tend to reduce women to merely these roles that they play and all the ramifications that has on individual psyches, I’ve just simply never thought of myself in those terms. I think of myself merely as me. I am myself. Of course, an “About” page that says, “I am me,” or maybe “Amy Wallace is a person,” wouldn’t exactly be helpful. So, here I offer you the standard tidbits: profession, marital status, pets-mentioned-instead-of-children-to-imply-childless-status-but-still-signaling-a-capacity-for-nurturing, and the obligatory hobby or two. Voila!
